Miss Galaxy Universe Training 2012: I was doing good until I went out last night ...o...: I was doing good until I went out last night ...oopsss ! Lol Progress is coming along nicely not as quickly as I would like it to be .......

Progress is coming along nicely not as quickly as I would like it to be ....but going in the right direction. Sometimes it can be disheartening as it is slow progress compared to the time left till GG competition (11 weeks)....

o I will go on that stage and I will be proud of whatever progress I have made ...after all this is what it is all about the journey...

Diet is going well so far as long as I prepare everything for the while day in advance : my various meals, vitamins and supplements

...but when I feel tired / exhausted / unwell this is when it goes out of the window ...I look for comfort in food ...instead of resting my body ...and these days, when I had a busy day I have to give my body a minimum of 1 hour if not 2 hou

r rest before feeling normal again and able to continue with my day. Comfort eating is bad habit I am learning to kick and get ride of ...

o I HATE my scale !!! So disheartening!! I usually go by progress pictures, clothes and measurements. I bought a more sofisticated one body fat, muscle, water etc ...it gives a muc

h accurate and better picture ! Bought mine in Argos for only GBP 39.00

o My face and body shape are really changing I am having a waist now starting to show and building a bit of tone in my arms ;)))

o I have bad days too where I go downstairs to the kitchen looking for anything "naughty" to give me comfort on these low days ...but can't find anything because we don't have anything at home thank God !!! Or it might be a disaster LOL last time ended up having Ryvita and almond butter ...not too bad for a naughty trip LOL ..

o Let's be brave ! Let's be strong ! Let's be proud of ourselves , our progress , out journey ...

o Also I am too young for over 40 year old category, but much older than the regular category they are in their twenties when I am in my late thirties ...36 …I know it might sound silly / an excuse but I think it does make a difference too ...

o My training : I train every other day as an average and sometimes twice on these days . Tuesday morning outdoors training with cardio, drills and mobility . In the evening , Thai boxing which includes a body circuit training. Wednesday zumba with Lola and a bit of upper body work in the fun . Thursday outdoors training again . Friday rest :))) Saturday Thai boxing training, Sunday rest :))).Monday cardio 45 min and full body workout .

o …On my way to see a friend to discuss bikinis and evening dress :))) the fun bit begins too !

o Let’s be disciplined (as my respiratology consultant keeps saying to me re. my weight !!!!) Let's be brave ! Let's be strong ! Let's be proud of ourselves , our progress , our journey ...

week review _ Friday 24th Feb



I was really pleased with myself this week !

Prepared all my meals for the week according to plan - no exceptions

Ate all my meals according to plan - no food cravings I guess the yerba mate really helps
I have been adding Solstic Slim into my 3 litre water a day

Managed to stay strong and focused and said NO to extra food !

Did ALL my training according to plan and even more !

took all my supplements according to plan and even shared some of my antioxidants shooters with some of my friends.

I did all my training according to plan and even MORE !

I must admit that after all my clients' appointments this week I was feeling absolutely exhausted...good thing today was my rest day (training) and tomorrow no early morning appointment :))

I must keep this going ...I am on the right track to success ; )))

Sarcoidosis an illness so misunderstood





Five years ago, I was diagnosed with a chronic autoimmune disease called Sarcoidosis which in my case has developed over time and is now affecting my normal breathing. I have good days and bad days. On the good days, I live my life to the full and on the bad days I can’t even come out of my bed having the feeling I have ran a Marathon without even haven started my day and I am not even mentioning the aching body pains and very bad chest pains and anxiety feeling of not breathing properly. This disease has made me realize how precious life if. I need to listen to my body and its signs even more than ever to avoid over exhaustion.






The problem is that most people don't know nor haven't even heard of sarcoidosis.

Some people might take sarcoidosis sufferers for lazy people or piers might not understand the change of level of activity affected by the illness.

Exhaustion is very difficult to explain or describe to people: the scientific explanation is the following

Symptoms of physical and mental exhaustion include feeling constantly tired and worn out. Feeling physically and mentally exhausted can take their toll at all levels of life. We become less adept at our jobs, our relationships suffer, and energy levels drop to all-time lows.

If ignored, exhaustion can lead to serious consequences su

ch as burnout, excessive stress, depression, as well as lowered immune system functioning. All of these make us more vulnerable to illness and infection, creating a vicious cycle.


In other words it means reaching level of tiredness where you have very little choice but to stop and rest as you are unable to function physically and mentally as normal.

It is very frustrating to live it as one feels not in control and would like to do more but can't .
It is even more frustrating when people do not understand this illness.




The best thing in these cases is to explain and remind people of this illness.

Above all is to look after oneself as no one else will do this for you.

14 weeks to go!





Woke up had my hot water and lemon.
Took shower and got ready....took my Viva antioxidant shot and some of my delicious oat / protein cupcakes for breakfast ... Ready for another day!

Busy catching up with some client work since I was away at Natures Sunshine National convention all day Sunday ...

Light bite for Lunch and let's not forget my supplements ! flax seed capsules,
zinc, magnesium, vitamin c, siberian ginseng and a couple more ...

Following up on my Detox clients ...everything under control!Woking on putting together a great new package for my clients : Kick Start Slim and KickStart Slim Sport...
Now ...going to the gym studio for my training session : full body workout ...I was not really motivated, trying to find the right music to get me going...brrrrrr...it was cold...have to move and warm up! After 30min I wasfinally into my training and enjoying it ! yes...sometimes you just have to do what you have to do....

Dinner time with my lovely hubby who came back from his Martial Art Class.
Another very good day !

It's scary to know it's in 14
weeks !!! I took a couple of bikini shots at home in front of the mirror yesterday ...ouch! need to eat less and cleaner and train harder !! mirror does not lie ! I am heading in the right
direction but at a very slow pace..need to put the gear up !!!



...tomorrow is another day !
